CALCA DTF Metallic delivers a bold, mirror‑like sheen that turns ordinary designs into statement pieces. Perfect for fashion branding, team logos, streetwear, and seasonal drops.
No white ink. No vinyl layering. Just easy, brilliant metallic transfers.
Unlike standard DTF, Metallic requires no white ink – yet it performs beautifully on both light and dark garments. Use your regular DTF ink and powder. No specialty supplies needed.
Our metallic film provides strong adhesion on cotton, polyester, and blends – with better stretch, longer wear, and easier application than standard transfers.

- Press temperature: 284–302°F (140–150°C)
- Press time (first press): 8–10 seconds
- Peel type: Cold peel (cool completely before peeling)

ABOUT CALCA DTF PRINTING SERVICES
We use CALCA white ink exclusively for all Metallic Gold DTF orders. CALCA ink is specifically formulated for DTF and foil applications, providing excellent adhesion, vibrant opacity, and reliable performance on metallic films.
Inks & fabrics - OEKO-TEX ECO PASSPORT inks (water-based, no heavy metals). OEKO-TEX 100 Class I garments (baby safe).

FILE GUIDELINES
File size limit: Max 150MB.
Resolution & format: 300 DPI, PNG with transparent background. (Non-transparent backgrounds will print as supplied.)
No mirrored images – our machine software handles automatically.
Exact dimensions – we will not resize your artwork. Up to 22 inches wide for gang sheets.
Avoid ultra-fine details that might get lost during transfer.
No trademarked images (Disney, fashion brands, etc.), screenshots, or watermarks. Such orders will not be printed.
Single image transfers (non-gang): We proportionally resize to fit the selected transfer size while preserving aspect ratio. For disproportionate sizing, contact us.
Sizing rule: Preserve original proportion. The longest side (width or height) determines the fit.
We cannot modify artwork – ensure all files are print-ready before submission.

Tips for Maximizing the Metallic Effect
- Use large bold areas of 4C black to show off the shine — metallic effects look best in high-density blocks, not fine lines.
- Avoid gradients or photo elements. Keep the artwork graphic.
- Sell the Shine: Let customers know this effect is built into the film — no extra foil needed!

HEAT PRESS STEPS – METALLIC GOLD DTF (COLD PEEL)
1. Pre-press garment.
2. Press at 284–302°F (140–150°C) for 8–10 seconds.
3. Cold peel (peel the clear sheet after cooling).
4. Before the second press, use a lint roller to remove any white burrs from the film.
5. Press again for better results: after peeling, press for another 10 seconds at 284°F (140°C) with Teflon or parchment paper.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Machine wash cold
- Turn inside out
- Avoid bleach or OxiClean
- Tumble dry low or hang dry for best results
