Video registration system
Kasemake vision is a digital video registration system for use on DCZ series digital cutter. Its use converts your cutting table into a die-less, cut on demand, production system for pre-printed board. As a print registration system ensures accurate alignment of individual print passes on media, the vision system accurately registers the position of pre-printed board on the cutting table ensuring perfect alignment between printed media and the digital key line used to cut the display from the sheet of board.
Accurate manual alignment of a job taks time. Digital registration is fast and accurte. Place the board in approximately the correct position on the table and the vision system will adjust for placement and rotation in seconds, removing any errors and ensuring a high quality finish.
Image1 ilustrates the printed board complete with registration marks.
Image 2 and 3 ilustrate sheets that have been incorrectly placed on the table and then cut, these are "out of register". Repeating these errors several times in a short turn can prove costly and wasteful.
Image 4 shows how the job will look after positioning using KASEMAKE vision. The job has been place on the table and accurately registered. The display is exactly are required.
Using the system could not be easier. Open the required drawing place the printed sheet onto the table in line with visual laser mark, and let Kasemake vision do the rest.
The vision system consists of a digital camera mounted on the cutting head of a DCZ digital cutter. This is able to see registration marks on a printed sheet or board. The register marks as "seen" and processes the register marks as "seen" and processes the cutter path to align with the marks. This has the affect of moving and rotating the cutter geometry to suit the position of the board on the table.
